About Me, Peachy!

I’m a delighted mum with a precocious son who is also my favourite reading buddy. We devour fabulous books about fantasy, history, and we LOVE The Who HQ Series; watch for reviews of this and other middle-grade content!

When not hanging out with my other half or my little lad, I enjoy my alone time…with my books! That’s where you’ll find me curled up in the recliner enjoying a memoir, historical or dystopian fiction.

That said, I’m eager to step outside of my comfort zone and dip into some sci-fi and other new-to-me genres soon! Feel free to leave suggestions of where I should start with sci-fi in the comments, I’d love to hear what you’ve enjoyed.

I crave the escape into the imagination that a well-written mystery can provide, but will happily jump into the intellectual waters of the classics, even though I may splash along the way.

I feel my reads just as I do all forms of art – very intensely, and my reviews reflect that. I use my blog to discuss my personal connection to the books I’m reading, their impact on me and my thoughts, even how they inspire me artistically.

I am not a conventional book reviewer and don’t follow much of a technical structure, so we’re all wild and free over here, haha. This is about connecting with others while discussing books, which sounds like a good time to me.

  1. Thank you for sharing your love of books! It shows in your reviews and your beautiful use of language to reflect how the books impact you. This is one blog I will be following to get that inspiration to read new material.
